SETA is one of the leaders in the production and commercialization of vegetable tannin and wood chips. Due to the versatility of its raw material, the products can be used for energy production, leather treatment, water and effluent treatment and as supplies for various chemical industries.

The first seedlings of the Black Acacia tree were planted in southern Brazil in 1918. Today, the few seedlings brought in the past have become thousands of hectares of Black Acacia forest, generating income for the families of rural producers and transforming them into resources and products.

SETA is committed to guarantee sustainable production, guaranteeing resources for present and future generations. Therefore, it promotes and contributes to the development of the forestry activity within environmental precepts.

The forest area of the company is composed of researchers, engineers and technicians of the sector who play a decisive role in supporting the expansion of the acacia crop with full socio-environmental responsibility.

Advantages of Cultivating Acacia

Acacia cultivation offers technical, environmental and socioeconomic advantages. This activity is mainly related to small and medium-sized producers. The planting of Black Acacia now benefits more than 40 thousand families in southern Brazil.

The forest, besides providing bark and wood, allows the planting of other crops and the use of the area for grazing. This multiple use of resources makes this cultivation one of the best investment options in the primary sector.
